The bread
Sourdough and heritage flour
The loaves are sourdough made with an old-variety flour, baked in the morning. They aren’t bought: they’re made, which is why the pavilion smells of the oven when the group arrives.
All the pastries are homemade. Croissants, loaf cakes and tarts that change with what’s around: tomato, guava, pineapple or blueberry.

Made here with fruit from the grove, depending on the season.
Homemade butter
Churned here, with French crème fraîche. It’s the difference nobody expects at breakfast.
Eggs from the hens
Collected that same morning. However you like them, with bacon if you fancy.
Seasonal fruit
Whatever is in season, and in many cases from our own trees. With honey.
Orange juice
Squeezed, not from a carton. One of the things you notice most and that fewest places do.
Ham and cheeses
Cured ham, cooked ham and several cheeses. And olive oil for the bread.
Pancakes
For anyone who’d rather start with something sweet, or for the children.

Fig
From the hundred-year-old fig tree in the garden, in summer.
Tomato
From the same garden tomato that goes into the sauces.
And dulce de leche, made here over a low heat, which is what surprises non-Argentinians most.
Coffee
The group sets the timing
Breakfast is served buffet-style with someone topping things up, so a window is agreed: from one hour to another, usually three or four hours long. The group chooses it the evening before.
Within that window there’s no rush: there’s an automatic coffee machine in the pavilion so everyone makes their coffee the way they take it, and several teas for those who don’t drink coffee. Whoever gets up late still has breakfast.
A group heading into Valencia early doesn’t eat at the same time as one staying by the pool. That’s why the window is chosen rather than fixed.
Where
Always in the pavilion
Breakfast is served in the garden pavilion, which is enclosed and climate-controlled. With air conditioning, the wood stove or a fan depending on the day, twelve months a year.
There are insects in the garden at that hour, and an open-air buffet gets complicated the moment the group isn’t all at the table at once. Indoors it solves itself.
The coffee machine is there, so coffee is still to hand once breakfast has been cleared.
Before you arrive
The shopping can be done for you too
If the group would rather do breakfast themselves, we can do the shopping before you arrive and leave it in the house. You pay only for what you use, at cost.
And there’s a welcome pantry on arrival with coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt, pepper and bread. Handed over once, not restocked daily.

The questions we get most
Is breakfast included in the stay?
No. It’s one of the things added on and asked for in advance, like the meals.
What time is it served?
The group chooses the window the evening before: from one hour to another, usually three or four hours. It’s buffet-style with someone topping things up, which is why it needs bounds.
Can we ask for it only on some days?
Yes. You can have it for the whole stay or only on the days you want.
What about allergies or someone avoiding gluten?
Tell us when you book and it gets sorted. Most of the breakfast is gluten-free anyway, and what isn’t has an alternative.
Is there an option without service?
Yes. We leave the shopping done before you arrive and everyone sorts themselves out. It’s what groups travelling with small children tend to do.

Where it happens
A 16th-century villa, entirely yours
The house is over five hundred years old, five minutes from Valencia airport and fifteen from the centre. Seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, a private pool and 4,500 m² of garden, always for one group at a time.
